A Little Art Deco Bed and Breakfast Hotel
There has been a hotel at 40 Gore Street in Bluff from 1899 when the Temperance Boardinghouse was on the site. In 1937, the Temperance Boardinghouse was demolished and the present art deco hotel was built. In the 1980's, it was again renovated to include ensuites with 5 of the rooms and major work was carried out in the kitchen, reception, lounge and dining areas. The present day hotel is a step back into time and retains a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Sherry Shelton is the present owner of the Foveaux Hotel. She is a retired sea captain, concert organist and pianist, and a harpist. The hotel hosts small concerts and musical shows throughout the year which are listed in the hotel's events.
